I'd like to add that you should always be sure to read not just your PIC data sheet, but the errata sheet as well. I've ran into several issues, especially when dealing with the PIC peripheral controllers where everything was set up exactly as the data sheet said, but failed to operate correctly, only to find out from the errata that the periph doesn't actually function to spec.

Yeah, rewrite rules are a tremendous and terrible pain.

I've actually moved this site from Apache to nginx so I no longer have to deal with them. It was well, well worth it.

That said, I recommend heading to #apache on irc.freenode.net to ask for help regarding those errors. Also, be sure to post for help on StackOverflow - you should get some solid responses.

Oh wow! Thanks for sharing!

I'm honestly not sure regarding the difference in patches... I found 6.0b somewhere in the depths of the Internet when I originally wrote this post 3 years ago.

There is a new installer for SMAC (Linux): http://liflg.org/?catid=7&gameid=90

It has workarounds for modern distros on top of the official patch (6.0a)

Does the patch linked (6.0b) have something significant added, or just a repackaging of the official 6.0a
